SKU: J42-E Categories: ,

Description

The purpose of this booklet is to help plan and develop new FASD support groups or to enhance existing support group activities. The booklet summarizes evidence-informed considerations to promote inclusive and safe group environments.

We know that support groups can be the foundation for life-changing shifts in perspective and that families do better when:

  • They feel less isolated.
  • They understand that they are not alone.
  • They know that their children are understood and supported.
  • They can build their own formal and informal support networks.

We are confident that this booklet will make this process easier for facilitators, and that individuals and families will do better as a result.
