Description

This video is for Indigenous parents and caregivers. It is also for everyone who shares their space with young Indigenous children, even occasionally (relatives, friends, babysitters, etc.). The purpose of the video is to:

  • Discuss the impact of second-hand smoke on young families.
  • Understand the difference between sacred use of traditional tobacco (e .g. tobacco ties, smudging) and recreational use and misuse of commercial tobacco (e .g. smoking cigarettes, chewing tobacco, snuff).
  • Share strategies to reduce the impact of recreational use and misuse of tobacco.
